The rising complexity of mental health care demands in nonprofit settings has necessitated the adoption of real-time analytics to support evidence-based decision-making and resource allocation. Budget Impact Modeling (BIM), traditionally used in pharmaceutical and clinical economics, is gaining traction in nonprofit mental health program planning to forecast financial implications, optimize funding strategies, and improve service delivery outcomes. This review explores the integration of real-time analytics into BIM frameworks within mental health nonprofits, emphasizing how data-driven modeling supports dynamic planning, accountability, and sustainability. Drawing from recent studies, industry reports, and technical applications, the paper synthesizes current methodologies, data infrastructure requirements, and organizational enablers that drive successful implementation. Additionally, the review critically assesses the challenges of data availability, interoperability, and stakeholder alignment in resource-constrained nonprofit contexts. By highlighting practical use cases and advanced analytics tools, the paper provides a roadmap for nonprofits to operationalize real-time budget impact models to enhance their mental health service efficacy and financial stewardship.
