Details of a Proven Software for the Control of Unmanned Aircraft Systems - Part 1 - Determining the Orientation

The paper describes the software elements that has proven successful in unmanned aircraft vehicles in recent years. The two most important components are the position recognition routines and the flight controller routines. Other elements are of course also necessary for controlling an aircraft, but these are not as mathematically complex. The first of the two parts deals with the basics of attitude recognition. The second part deals with the routines of the controller.
